Sizing a switchboard for what's on the wall today is the mistake we see most often in older homes, so we size for headroom, not just the current load, factoring in whether solar, an EV charger or ducted air conditioning are likely down the track. Switchboard installation FAQs

How do I know my switchboard needs replacing? Common signs are ceramic fuses, no safety switches, breakers that trip often, scorch marks or a warm board, and no space left for new circuits. If any of those sound familiar, it's worth getting it checked.

Do I need safety switches on every circuit? When a switchboard is replaced in Queensland, safety switches are required on power and lighting circuits. Read more on our safety switch installation page.
