Fire egress rules decide whether a door strike needs to be fail-safe or fail-secure, so we work that out before we install anything rather than fitting whatever's on the van and finding out it fails inspection later. Power continuity matters just as much, since a fail-secure door on mains power with no battery backup can lock people in during an outage, so we build in backup power on any door where that's a safety issue, not just where it happens to be convenient.Once the hardware’s in, we program the cards, fobs or keypad codes and set up access levels so different doors can carry different permissions rather than one code for the whole building. Every entry point is tested before we hand over, including how it behaves on a power cut, so you’re not finding that out for the first time during an actual emergency.
