Second fix is where a job either looks finished or looks rushed, so timing with the painter matters — we generally fit off after painting so switch plates and light fittings go onto a clean finish rather than picking up overspray. Before anything gets connected we check every circuit against what was actually run at first fix, since this is the last chance to catch a mislabelled cable before the ceiling's closed up and tracing it becomes a much bigger job.

Every circuit is polarity and RCD tested before we call it live, not just switched on and assumed to work, and we match switch plates and fittings to what was specified rather than substituting without asking. We walk through the finished job with you before handover so anything on the snag list gets sorted then, and issue the compliance certificate once everything’s signed off.
