Warehouse and industrial electrical work is a different job to a house rewire. Ceiling heights of 6-12 metres mean lighting has to be planned for lux levels and beam spread, not just fitted where a switch happens to be - we typically move warehouses onto LED high-bay fittings, which cut running costs substantially against old metal-halide bays while giving better, more even light across the floor. Most sheds and distribution centres are also running (or need) three-phase power for compressors, conveyors, roller doors and machinery, and we size the switchboard and sub-mains to the equipment load rather than guessing - undersized switchboards are the single most common issue we find when we’re called out to an existing warehouse.
Compliance isn’t optional in a workplace: emergency and exit lighting has to meet AS/NZS 2293 so staff can get out safely if the power fails, and we test and certify it as part of the install, not as an afterthought. We also wire and connect machinery and equipment circuits - production lines, loading dock equipment, cool rooms - to AS/NZS 3000 (the Australian wiring rules), with isolation switches placed where WHS actually requires them, not just where it’s convenient.
Because a warehouse rarely gets to stop trading for a rewire, we plan the job around your operating hours - after hours, on weekends, or in stages by zone - so stock keeps moving and staff keep working. Servicing warehouses and industrial units across the Gold Coast, Logan and Scenic Rim. Call Bonus Electrical for a free quote and an electrician who’ll actually walk the floor with you first.
